iRestis a meditation practice based on the ancient tradition of yoga nidra, adaptedfor the modern life. It can be practiced by anyone, regardless of physicalability or experience with meditation. When practiced regularly, iRest enablesyou to meet each moment of your life with peace and well-being. This practicecan be done while sitting in a chair or lying on the floor. Bringing a yogamat, blanket, towel or small pillow, and eye covering could make the experiencemore enjoyable but is not necessary. Barbara Holt is a registered yoga teacherwith Yoga Alliance (RYT-200) with over a decade of experience teaching yoga andmeditation in a variety of settings. Barbara is an iRest Level 2 teacher. Haveyou ever been interested in different kinds of snowshoes or wanted to make yourown pair? Join teacher and board member Laurie Hylen as she leads participantsin creating their own unique pair of snowshoes. We will be following the Ojibwestyle of snowshoes which are long and narrow, with both a tail, and a pointed,up-turned toe. Session 1 will consist of getting kits and materials preparedand beginning our snowshoe creations. Advanced registration is required.
