“Stories and History of Maywood”

Guest Presenter Dave Kuckuk

Journey with former Maywood Park Director Dave Kuckuk, as he shares 40 years of stories and memories of Maywood.

David Kuckuk served as the Maywood Park Director for over 30 years. During this time, he oversaw the development of many park features and programs that are still in use today. Of note is Dave’s 1,000-mile trek of the Ice Age Trail to raise funds for the Ecology Center expansion. 2023 marks the 25th anniversary of that journey. Dave began his career with the Washington County Park System as a Supervisor/Naturalist. There he was involved with the design and construction of parks and its environmental education programs. Dave holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Education, Resource Management, and Natural Sciences from UW-Stevens Point.
