Join Samantha Lammers (RYT-200hr) as you navigate through a journey ofself-awareness and kindness. We will begin this workshop with a 60min GentleFlow to connect our breath and our bodies. Following our awareness flow we willbegin setting some intentions for the New Year, while showing ourselveskindness, courage, and self-love. The workshop will end with a complimentary lightand fresh soup and salad lunch. Please dress for your own body temperature andbring a mat and water bottle. All other supplies and equipment will be providedfor you.

Join Camp Y Koda Director of Education Sarah DeZwarte and Park DirectorSamantha Lammers to learn about snakes and turtles! Come meet some of theiradorable pets as well as learn interesting and crucial information about beinga responsible reptile owner. We will also be discussing some ramifications ofillegal pet release into the park and how you can make a difference. 

Seating will be limited to 25 people. We STRONGLY recommend preregistering for this program to guarantee a seat.

Cultivate resiliency andenhance self-care through the practice of yoga. This guided meditation willfocus on meeting, greeting, welcoming, and engaging thoughts, emotions, andbeliefs that arise as messengers in our lives. During iRest we realize thatqualities of peace, well-being, joy, love, kindness, and compassion are alwayspresent, even during our greatest difficulties. This practice can be done whilesitting in a chair or lying on the floor. Bringing a yoga mat, blanket, towelor small pillow, and eye covering could make the experience more enjoyable butare not necessary. Barbara Holt is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance(RYT-200) with over a decade of experience teaching yoga and meditation in avariety of settings. Join Director Sam Lammers and Master Naturalist Delisa White in a deepdive of coniferous tree identification. We will be learning ways to easilyidentify differences in our native pine trees as well as putting our knowledgeto the test by taking a hike in the pine forest areas of Maywood. Please dressfor any weather condition and hike at your own pace.
